Edge-banding colour and the three-month threshold

Can I use a UV-blocking film on the inside of south-facing wardrobes to prevent colour shift?

Theoretically, yes. Practically, no. A UV-blocking film will reduce the colour shift by 30–40%, but it will also reduce the perceived brightness and saturation of the wardrobe, even when the doors are open. The wardrobe will look dim. Most architects reject this trade-off. Better to specify a gloss level and edge-banding that anticipate the shift, rather than trying to prevent it.
