If I approve low-iron glass in July and the client sees green in October, is that a warranty claim?
No, provided your shop drawing and approval record document that low-iron glass was specified with the understanding that edge-colour visibility varies seasonally. The glass has not changed; the light has. However, if your approval process did not include a monsoon and post-monsoon site visit, and the client was not explicitly briefed on seasonal edge-colour shifts, you have a documentation gap. Always include a written note on the approval: "Approved in [month] conditions; edge-colour visibility will vary with seasonal light changes." This protects both you and the supplier.
Should I always specify low-iron for feature walls, or is standard clear acceptable in Bangalore?
