  • Polished edge (if specified despite hard-water risk): "10mm clear glass, edges polished, no bevel, all four edges, to site dimensions ±1mm."

Include the edge finish in the material schedule even if it appears in the detail. Repetition reduces ambiguity. Add a note specifying which edges receive the finish treatment—for a 10mm frameless shower panel in clear glass, typically all four edges are finished, but in some configurations (such as an opening edge that sits inside a channel), only the exposed edges require the finish.
